醫(yī)療廢水曾經(jīng)多次引起公眾關(guān)注，醫(yī)療廢水的排放對(duì)水資源造成的危害巨大，已經(jīng)成為危害群眾健康的一個(gè)“源頭”；部分地區(qū)真正能夠達(dá)到國(guó)家排放標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的只有*的幾家醫(yī)院。目前，法律的不規(guī)范，環(huán)保意識(shí)的薄弱，造成了醫(yī)療廢水直排和各大醫(yī)院存在的“高污染，低治理”現(xiàn)狀。

但目前各大醫(yī)院并沒(méi)有對(duì)具有嚴(yán)重危害性的醫(yī)療廢水進(jìn)行合理處置，忽略了廢水中病毒傳染可能導(dǎo)致的水污染惡性事件。同時(shí)，國(guó)家的相關(guān)立法也需要及時(shí)跟進(jìn)，對(duì)醫(yī)療費(fèi)水的處理作出更加明確的規(guī)定，各級(jí)環(huán)保部門也應(yīng)加強(qiáng)管理和環(huán)保意識(shí)的普及。相關(guān)資料與工業(yè)廢水相比，醫(yī)療廢水對(duì)環(huán)境的影響更大，危害也更大。醫(yī)院在運(yùn)行過(guò)程中，不可避免地產(chǎn)生了具有直接或者間接感染性、毒性以及其他危害性的廢水，這些廢水的來(lái)源決定了其成分復(fù)雜性，涉及多種生物性、化學(xué)性或放射性污染。醫(yī)療廢水中除含有大量的細(xì)菌、病毒、蟲卵等致病原體外，還含有化學(xué)藥劑和放射性同位素，具有對(duì)空間污染、急性傳染和潛伏性傳染的幾大特征。如果含病原微生物的醫(yī)療污水，不經(jīng)過(guò)消毒、滅活等無(wú)害化處理，而直接排入城市下水道，往往會(huì)造成水、土壤的污染，嚴(yán)重的會(huì)引發(fā)各種疾病，或?qū)е陆樗畟魅静〉谋┌l(fā)流行。
