GRABNER INSTRUMENTS' complete package for the vapor pressure measurement of crude oil according to ASTM D 6377 （Expansion Method）.

MINIVAP VPS and VPSH are extremely versatile instruments for the automatic determination of the vapor pressure behavior of gasoline and gasoline oxygenated blends, live and dead crude oil, solvents and other chemical compounds. Both types VPS and VPSH are the world wide standard instruments that are used by all major refineries, oil and pipeline companies, independent laboratories and car manufacturers.
The US-EPA declared MINIVAP as the official reference instrument for the USA.
MINIVAP VPS/H are stand-alone units that do not require any accessories. The unique piston based design for automatic sample introduction and volume expansion of the measuring cell makes an expensive and bulky vacuum pump unnecessary. The patented measuring principle in combination with the latest standards ASTM D6377 （for Crude Oil） and ASTM D6378 （for Gasoline） avoids tedious sample chilling and air saturation.
This new technology significantly increases refinery profits: it reduces expensive labor time, eliminates operator bias and has a considerably improved test precision that offers the advantage to blend closer to the limits and hence avoid product give-away.

MINIVAP VPS is mostly used for QC purposes while VPSH offers even more features for crude oil and R&D applications, like volatility studies at elevated temperatures and at very low vapor/liquid ratios.

FLOATING PISTON CYLINDER （FPC250） The new Floating Piston Cylinder （FPC250） was designed in cooperation with Norwegian offshore personnel specifically for ASTM D 6377. A mechanical stirrer is included to ensure uniform samples. No valve stems or handles protrude from the cylinder, reducing hazards. ROCKING PLATE MINIVAP is placed on the Rocking Plate to shake the sample inside the measuring cell, reducing the equilibrium time significantly Applications MINIVAP testers are utilized in most major oil and pipeline companies as well as independent test laboratories worldwide. The US-EPA declared the "Grabner" instrument （MINIVAP VPS） as the reference in the USA. Applications include the routine vapor pressure testing of gasoline, gasoline-oxygenate blends and crude oil, the rapid determination of vapor pressure in laboratories and production control facilities, as well as screening and testing directly in the field. For the Russian Crude Oil Market Grabner Instruments has recently developed the special solution 'Package Nr. 1'.
